Ok...CoD,Resistance,Prey,The Darkness, Halo, and several other shooters all have 1 path that you need to take to proceed to the next place...how the hell is Gears of War 2 more linear then any other shooter out there besides games like Farcry2???

I can tell you that that game looks better then any 360 and Ps3 exclusive out right now and it's multiplatform.

I don't really see a difference in the Ps3's audience and 360's...the 360's audience is just much bigger.
Top selling games on the Ps3 are almost just like 360's.
Shooters or anything dealing with you shooting someone in the face.
So far Shooters, RPGs, Sports, Adventure, and probably every genre to date have sold better on the 360 platform.
I know there was a year lead but just where are you getting...

Microsoft, Bungie, Lionhead, Epic Games, are all gonna be receiving FAT paychecks between Thanksgiving and Christmas Day along with an epic crash on Xbox Live. I can see it now the first crash that Xbox Fanboys can be proud of.
Played both the PC and 360 version and besides deeper contrast and a shinier gun there is NO Difference...I have a pretty elite set up btw.
I prefer the XBL version because communication is easier and I don't have to worry about burps from my comp and I rather play on mah 40'' XBR then muh 19'' LCD Monitor
Get the game it's awesome and if you don't like it go sit on a pickle and die.

All I know is I'm a hardcore online gamer and the experience and rewards over XBL are much better then the PsN which is why my Ps3 is only on 2 or 4 times a year....because I don't like the controller and Multiplatforms have a much better online success on the 360 so I buy or rent most of my multiplatforms for the 360.
So I'm that 1 guy out of the bunch that only uses his Ps3 for it's exclusives...sorry but yeah that's all I see it wort...

PsN exerts much downtime and silence and the experience you get even for awesome games like CoD4 can be a bit dull when theres silence and a lack of excited players who get into the action.
XBL has "Live" players some might say kids but I say theres more gamers who enjoy playing games on XBL and love to get connected and communicate as gamers.
I feel the 49.99 I pay for XBL is for the experien...

Those retro games that we love and are epic just won't work in todays gaming we've actually grown to a point where developers don't know what to do with HD graphics being the now those epic story telling games are restricted and have limits.
Mostly everyone is looking for that Hollywood Cinema and violence and cool special effects and sadly that's what developers aim for and overall might cripple the story or give you no connection to the characters.
